University of Exeter
The University of Exeter is one of UK's leading tertiary educational institutions. The UK Government is to cut central funding and increase tuition fees by as much as three times the current level from 2012.
StrategicFusion was engaged to undertake a piece of focused research to help inform the potential pricing strategy for the University of Exeter and to identify the
key price influencing factors from both parents and students.
This consisted of qualitative based discussion groups and a quantitative programme. The combined output provided not only greater depth and clarity, but also a degree of dual validity to the overall findings. Parents and sixth form students applying to go to university.
It is clearly an extremely emotive subject and one that solicits strong opinion and views. However, it was important to ensure that we could achieve a measured and even pragmatic view and insight to avoid simply reporting on rhetoric and dissatisfaction.
